BDLex, online legal database  
Green University faculty, students and staffs can now access BDLex database (online comprehensive repository of cases and laws) directly from any computers of the university campuses. The database enabling faster and better legal research, offering not only domestic case law and legislation, but also a vast international (India and Pakistan) repository.

Open Access (Free) Resources

arXiv.org e-Print archive: Repository of electronic preprints, known as e-prints, of scientific papers in the fields of mathematics, physics, astronomy, computer science, quantitative biology, statistics, and quantitative finance, which can be accessed online. In many fields of mathematics and physics, almost all scientific papers are self-archived on the arXiv. More than One milion papers are openly accessible in this arcive.

Bangladesh Journals Online: BanglaJOL is a database of journals published in Bangladesh, covering the full range of academic disciplines. The objective of BanglaJOL is to give greater visibility to the participating journals, and to the research they convey. There are now 136 journals on BanglaJOL with 1271 Tables of Contents listing 16,606 articles. 15,672 of the articles are available in full text (PDF).

Bentham Science Publishers: Bentham Science answers the informational needs of the pharmaceutical, biomedical and medical research community. To explore the resources please visit on http://www.bentham.org

BioMed Central: It is a UK based scientific publisher of peer-reviewed open access journals which covers all areas of biology, medicine and health, including broad interest titles such as BMC Biology and BMC Medicine alongside specialist journals, such as Malaria Journal and BMC Infectious Diseases. BioMed Central and its sister companies Chemistry Central and PhysMath Central publish over 200 scientific journals.

Directory of Open Access Journals: DOAJ is a website that lists open access journals and is maintained by Infrastructure Services for Open Access (IS4OA). The project defines open access journals as scientific and scholarly journals that meet high quality standards by exercising peer review or editorial quality control. As of February 2016, the database contains records for 11,000 journals. An average of four journals were being added each day in 2012.

Directory of Open Access Books: The primary aim of DOAB is to increase discoverability of Open Access books. The directory is open to all publishers who publish academic, peer reviewed books in Open Access and should contain as many books as possible, provided that these publications are in Open Access and meet academic standards. There are 4238 Academic peer-reviewed books from 137 publishers are available in this database.

Indian Open Access Journals: Over 500 open access journals published in India are listed here alphabatically.

PubMed Central (PMC) is a free digital repository that archives publicly accessible full-text scholarly articles that have been published within the biomedical and life sciences journal literature. As one of the major research databases within the suite of resources that have been developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), PubMed Central is much more than just a document repository. PMC archive contained over 2500 Journals and 3 million articles, with contributions coming directly from publishers or authors depositing their own manuscripts into the repository per the NIH Public Access Policy. Borrowing & Returning Library Items

  • All items must be checked out and returned to the circulation desk

Loan limits

  • Students: 4 books and 1 audio-visual for 7 days (Can be renewed3times)
  • Faculty: 8 books and 2audio-visual for 1 semester
  • Administrative staff: 3 books and 1 audio-visual for 15 days

Renew

  • You do not need to carry books to renew. You just require login to your account.

Fine system for due items

  • Fine will be imposed per day @ Tk. 5.00 (Taka five only) for each book and @ Tk. 10.00 (taka ten only) for each audio-visual item, if any member fails to return the item(s) within due date.
  • In case of ‘confined copy’ and ‘reference book’ per day @ Tk. 50.00 (Taka fifty only) will be charged for each item if not returned on due time.

Some Rules

  • Be reasonably quiet
  • No loud disruptive behavior
  • Food is not allowed in the library
  • Group discussion is not allowed inside library
  • Issued and personal books are not allowed inside library
